1) Q: If I use Safety-Trim what other components can I get rid of?

A: You no longer need to buy other relay decks or speed controllers.  If you have a two axis trim system (elevator and aileron trim) our two-axis model ST-2-12V replaces two relay decks and speed controllers with a single control box.

2) Q: Is it easy to wire multiple trim switches often used with Pilot and Co-pilot control sticks?

A: Yes it is.  Safety-Trim uses very simple switch wiring, each trim switch is just wired in parallel.  Also, the system if fully protected from simultaneous operation of opposite control inputs.   If you press and up button and a down button at the same time, Safety-Trim will not drive the servo in either direction.  It will wait for you to make up your mind!  For more details and actual wiring diagrams click here.

3) Q: Can Safety-Trim do 2 speed control for a fast and slow response of the trim servos

A:  Yes,   Starting Oct 22, 2007 we have our 2 speed models available.   Now you can set a high speed and low speed setting for your trim servos.   Using an airspeed switch, a flap position switch, or a manual switch you can access two separate user adjustable trim speeds. For more details please see application note # 4   click here

4) Q: Can I share an airspeed switch between a Safety-Trim and Flap Controller (IFC-1)

A: Yes,  the two products can share a common ASW-1 airspeed switch as long as your aircraft  Vfe set-point can coincide with the 2-speed trim set-point used with the Safety-Trim Controller.
